Method
Rinse and dry the grapes and strawberries. Slice the green tops off the strawberries straight across so they sit flat.
Peel the bananas and cut into 1/2-inch rounds, about 12 per banana. Toss gently with the lemon juice if using.
Thread a grape onto each skewer first, pushing it near the bottom, then a banana slice.
Add a strawberry, wide cut side down against the banana, so it forms a pointed red hat.
Finish each skewer with a mini marshmallow on the tip of the hat as a pom-pom, and stand or lay them on a platter to serve.
Tips
- Pick strawberries that are about the width of the banana slices so the hats line up neatly.
- Assemble within an hour of serving; the banana softens and browns if they sit too long.
- Most mini marshmallows contain gelatin, so these aren't vegetarian; look for a gelatin-free brand if you need them to be.
