About Flash Recipe
Flash Recipe is built around one rule: every recipe is on the table in 20 minutes or less, counted from the moment you start prepping. Not after an overnight marinade, not "plus resting time," and not once the oven has spent half an hour preheating.
We have 411 recipes so far, from weeknight dinners and quick lunches to breakfasts, snacks, desserts, copycat versions of restaurant favorites and food from more than a dozen cuisines.
How we write recipes
Every recipe follows the same editorial standard before it's published:
- Honest timing. Prep and cook times include chopping, boiling water and heating the pan. If a dish can't honestly be done in 20 minutes, it doesn't go on the site.
- Smart shortcuts. Where it makes sense we use canned beans, rotisserie chicken, jarred curry paste or store-bought gnocchi, and we say so.
- Checked for safety and accuracy. Each recipe is reviewed for cooking temperatures and doneness, quantities, timings, and whether its diet labels (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free) are true as written.
- US measures. Ingredients are shown in US cups and ounces by default, and every recipe switches to metric with one tap.
About our photos
Recipe photos on Flash Recipe are AI-generated images, made to show what each finished dish looks like using only the ingredients in that recipe. Your plate may look a little different, and that's fine.
Using the recipes
Each recipe lets you scale servings up or down, has built-in timers for any step with waiting, and keeps your screen awake while you cook. Nutrition figures are estimates per serving.
