Witches' brew punch
A fizzy green party punch of pineapple juice, lemon-lime soda and scoops of lime sherbet that foam up like a bubbling cauldron. Alcohol-free and kid-approved.

Method
Pour the cold pineapple juice into a large punch bowl or cauldron and stir in the food coloring, if using, until it's an even green.
Slowly pour in the soda down the side of the bowl so it keeps its fizz.
Scoop the sherbet into rough balls and drop them on top. They'll foam up and float like a bubbling brew, so add them just before serving.
Float the lime slices on top and ladle into cups, with a bit of the sherbet foam in each.
Tips
- Everything must be cold before you start; there's no ice, so warm juice means flat, watery punch.
- For a smoking cauldron, set the punch bowl inside a larger bowl with a little dry ice and warm water, handled with gloves. Never put dry ice in the punch itself or in anyone's cup.
- Make it a day ahead by mixing the juice and coloring, then add the soda and sherbet at the party.
