Method
Heat the oven to 375°F. While it heats, keep the rolls joined and slice the whole slab in half horizontally with a long serrated knife.
Put the bottom half in a 9x13-inch baking dish or foil pan. Layer on half the provolone, then the ham, salami and pepperoni, then the rest of the provolone. Replace the top half.
Melt the butter in the microwave, about 30 seconds, then stir in the Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Brush it all over the tops and sprinkle with Parmesan.
Cover with foil and bake until the cheese is melted, about 7 minutes.
Uncover and bake until the tops are golden, about 3 minutes more.
Cut along the seams into 12 sliders and serve warm.
Tips
- To finish at the tailgate, assemble at home in a disposable foil pan, cover tightly with foil and set over medium indirect heat on a grill with the lid down for about 10 to 12 minutes, until the cheese melts. Check the bottoms after 6 minutes so they don't scorch.
- Add a layer of drained banana pepper rings or pepperoncini for a tangy kick.
