Ingredients
Method
Stir the instant coffee into the hot water in a blender jug until dissolved, or pour in the chilled coffee.
Add the cold milk, half-and-half, 4 tbsp caramel sauce, the sugar and salt, then add the ice.
Blend on high until thick, smooth and creamy like a milkshake, with no ice chunks left.
Pour into two tall glasses, top each with a tall swirl of whipped cream and drizzle the remaining caramel over the cream. Serve right away with a wide straw.
Tips
- Half-and-half and a light hand with the coffee are what make it taste like the original: it's sweeter, creamier and more milkshake-like than a coffeehouse blended drink.
- Want it thicker? Use a little less milk or add a few more ice cubes and blend again.
- If your caramel is too thick to drizzle, warm it in the microwave for 10 seconds.
