Method
Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp, then drain on paper towels and let cool.
Meanwhile, beat the cream cheese, sour cream and ranch seasoning together in a bowl until smooth.
Crumble the bacon. Stir most of the bacon, cheddar and scallions into the dip.
Spoon into a serving bowl, scatter with the rest of the bacon, cheese and scallions, and serve with chips, crackers and vegetables.
