Ingredients

  • 4 medium carrots
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut the carrots into 3″ long spears (cut in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 3 pieces).
  2. Add butter to a large heavy skillet on medium heat.
  3. Add in the carrots, stir well to coat, and cook, without stirring, for 5 minutes.

  4. Rotate carrots and cook for 5 more minutes.

  5. Add honey, water, salt, and pepper to a small cup and stir to combine.
  6. Pour the mixture into the skillet and stir.
  7. Cook until the water has evaporated and the carrots are glazed.
